Who we serve

Three kinds of company hire us, and we pass on the rest.

I.

Established SMB & family-owned

Revenue $5M to $50M. You have a controller and a bookkeeper. You don't have a finance leader. We build the cash, banking, and reporting layer that lets the CEO sleep, and that a future buyer expects to find.

II.

PE-backed mid-market

You closed the deal. The 100-day plan needs an owner. We run the value creation finance work, tighten management reporting, and prepare the business to defend its number in front of the sponsor.

III.

Pre-IPO & growth-stage

You're 12 to 24 months from an event. We harden the financial system, run readiness for audit and SOX, and stand in front of bankers and counsel while your team keeps selling.

I.

Fractional CFO retainer

One to three days a week, embedded with your team. Cash, forecast, board pack, banking, and the calls you'd rather have a CFO take. We attend the meetings that matter and we write the documents that follow.

6–24 month engagements
II.

Project advisory

Defined scope. Fixed fee. Financial model rebuild, capital raise prep, M&A diligence support, cost takeout, or systems selection. We write the brief with you, set the dates, and deliver against them.

4–16 weeks
III.

Transaction support

Sell-side, buy-side, or refinancing. We sit on your side of the table from data room through close. You retain the legal and banking relationships. We make sure the numbers hold up under questioning.

How is this different from a bookkeeper or controller?+
A controller closes the books. A CFO decides what the books should say next quarter, what the company should fund, and what to take to the board. We're the second.
What does a typical engagement cost?+
Fractional retainers and project fees are scoped after a 30-minute call. You receive a written proposal with a fixed monthly or project fee, and you decide. No hourly billing. No surprises.
Do you work remotely or on-site?+
Both. Most weeks are remote with regular on-site time for board meetings, quarterly reviews, and the moments that need a room. Travel is included in the retainer.
How fast can you start?+
Most engagements begin within 2 to 4 weeks of a signed agreement. Urgent transactions can compress that. We won't start work without an NDA and a written scope.
Do you sign NDAs?+
Yes. Mutual NDA is the first document we send. We'll happily sign yours if your counsel prefers.
What industries do you work in?+
We're sector-agnostic with deeper experience in B2B services, light manufacturing, software, and consumer products. We pass on engagements where we wouldn't add value.
